We are required by law to break confidentiality where appropriate in order to protect client, or if someone they might endanger. Furthermore I will not reveal confidential information to anyone without client written permission. As part of my professional standards, from time to time I may need to share and discuss some of the information in our sessions with a qualified supervisor, this will always be under a strict confidential and professional framework. The client identity is always kept anonymous. I am not able to provide in-depth reports on the sessions or give opinions or diagnosis.

if you had not been seen or heard from, for several days and colleagues,
organisation friends felt concerned, counsellor may disclose
information without your agreement.
Where there is a legal requirement to disclose information.

for example under the Terrorism Act 2000 or the Drug
Trafficking Offences Act 1986, for information to be passed on without consent.
In the first and second of these cases, we would attempt to talk this through
with you beforehand if possible.
If you have referred yourself for counselling then we will communicate with you.
If you have been referred by an organisation we will inform them, if they request details information on absence.
If you feel that someone may need to know information
about your counselling
